There is no reply for some time, but should Sizhui be in the Lan household, he will eventually hear the sound of a door being opened and the soft shuffle of feet down the hall.
Sizhui's text had only served to confirm a reality that Wen Ning didn't want to accept at first. That he had lost his dear sister once more. It had been foolish to expect her to remain here forever when he knew the truth about her fate, but he had hoped for the miracle all the same. And now, deprived of his tears as always, he is not sure what he should even do.
He does not seek out his nephew for comfort but rather a way to focus on something other than his own sorrow. Naturally, Sizhui would be saddened by Wen Qing's loss as well. He can set his attention to tending to Sizhui.
Sizhui is only half spending his time at home - a boyfriend that is a little too broken to suffer another loss will do that, and with Hanguang-jun here, Senior Wei's need of him is much lesser - but he is home right now. And when uncle Ning shows up at his room's doorway, he makes a small noise and kind of flings himself a little against him. Carefully.
Not because a fierce corpse can't handle a teenager's weight, but because none of them needs another thing to Handle. Gentle is better.
He takes a deep breath and--
-- all that comes out, all that he can come up with? Is just.
Wen Ning starts at the motion and then gently brings his arms around Sizhui. Part of him wants to hold tighter, but he's not sure he can trust his own strength right now. The pain of losing his sister again is much too fresh. And this is supposed to be about comforting Sizhui, not himself.
Still, despite whatever else he intended to say just now, what actually comes out is, "Mm, you are... still here."
Sizhui himself knows that the hug is for both of them. Much as he wants it to be purely comforting for his uncle, that would be lying to himself.
Then again, he has lost Uncle Ning twice already since the time he came here. And once... back then, even though he forgot it for so long.
So yes, he is offering himself for comfort, but he is taking comfort, too.
"I'm here. I will probably be spending a bit of time with Jin Ling, as someone who matters to him disappeared, too, but I'm here."
It would be unfair to not warn, but also he knows the kind of need that Jin Ling feels, for reassurance and presence, as everything is so raw for him. And Jin Ling was there. When Senior Wei disappeared. When Jingyi disappeared. When Zizhen disappeared.
In this place... apparently this is how things are, the time that they have twisted by losses, over and over again.

"Tell me if you... need anything?"
